Oliver is an associate at Lloyd Burns McInnis LLP, practising in the areas of civil litigation and insurance coverage. His work primarily focuses on insurance, municipal liability, product liability, personal injury and construction matters and disputes. 

Oliver completed his law degree at Western University's Faculty of Law. As a law student, Oliver worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Thomas Telfer, concentrating on contracts, torts, bankruptcy and legal history. He also served as the co-editor-in-chief of the Western Journal of Legal Studies, and also as student editor of the Canadian Journal of Law and Jurisprudence.

Before law school, Oliver completed his Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Western University, and he also earned a Master of Arts degree in Philosophy from Ryerson University.

Oliver was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
